Walking on a remote hill I discovered that beauty loves to play hide and seek with those who are patient enough to look for it. Without even thinking, I walked for hours until my gut feeling told me to stop. There it was. Forgotten and unchanged by outside forces, a church lay with its doors wide open yet there was no one to greet, only black spiders and crawling creatures. As a sign of respect for what was once a shred of hope for the hopeless, I decided to leave and just as I was leaving, a distant, faint cry caught my attention. My feet began to wobble and my sanity told me to run as fast as I could back home, yet my eyes were dazzled by the glimmering light coming from the church tower. I should have run; I know this now but at that particular moment I was captivated. The light began to change it's hue and it eventually faded away as quickly as it began and then I felt as if the church wanted to be left to rest like it had just been the stage of a magnificent Broadway show. Could it have been witchcraft? No one will know for sure.
